ATM/Debit Cards

All Freedom Checking accounts are accessible via ATM/Debit card. To order your ATM/Debit Card, please stop in or call your local Shelby State Bank office.

To report a lost or stolen card 24/7, call 1-888-297-3416 or contact your local SSB office immediately during regular banking hours. If you have the Shelby State Bank mobile app, use the card controls to turn your debit card off until it is found or replaced. If you don’t have our app yet, download it from the App Store or Google Play today!

Overdraft Privilege - using a credit card at store

Overdraft Privilege

To protect you from the cost and inconvenience of declined debit transactions and returned checks, Shelby State Bank offers Overdraft Privilege with each Freedom Checking account. For a fee per occurrence, Overdraft Privilege may cover overdrawn transactions up to the specified limit. Contact your local branch for more information on this service.

Debit Cards

Types of Transactions: You may use the card and PIN issued to you to pay for purchases from merchants who have agreed to accept the card at point of sale (POS) terminals within the networks identified on your card and such other terminals as the bank may designate from time to time. Point of sale (POS) transactions will be deducted from your primary account, which must be a checking account. Point of sale (POS) transactions involving a refund will be credited to your primary account.

Limitations on Frequency and Amount:

You may purchase up to a maximum of five-thousand dollars ($5,000.00) worth of goods and services per day, exclusive of ATM withdrawals.

Fees and Charges:

We do not charge for any POS transactions.
